Over 100 years ago, tea planters brought their finest ancestral tea bushes from China and India to Wadmalaw Island near the historic old city of Charleston, South Carolina. Now the direct descendants of these very plants have been lovingly restored to their former grandeur here at the Charleston Tea Garden, a lush subtropical tea farm. The new growth of the spring season on tea bushes is call the "first flush" The very special and unique flavor of this tea is highly prized by tea lovers all over the world. The First Flush is our freshest tea. It is harvested at the beginning of the season and immediately packaged for purchase.
